The much anticipated Audit Report into the THA has been presented by Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, who says many discrepancies have been uncovered.
The Audit examines road restoration, road resurfacing, emergency restoration works, emergency infrastructure rehabilitation and agriculture access road programmes.
A phased approach is being used, with all the audit reports expected by the end of 2022.
The 1st report presented by Mr Farley at the Assembly’s sitting yesterday focused on the road resurfacing.
Quite notably, he said there were issues with regard to the awarding of contracts under the Division of Infrastructure.
The Audit is being undertaken by the Caribbean Institute of Forensic Auditing and looks at development programmes undertaken by the THA Executive between October 1st 2019 and November 30th 2021.
