A Chatham man has been sentenced to 18 months hard labour for possession of marijuana for trafficking.
38-year-old Johnny Jerome was arrested along the Southern Central Road in Point Fortin on Monday 2nd December 2019.
He was driving a white single-cab Mazda pickup when he was stopped and searched by a policeman.
Behind the driver’s seat there were four brown, rectangular packets containing around $21,000 worth of marijuana.
Jerome appeared in court on Tuesday 3rd December 2019 where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months hard labour.
