The Prime Minister is again being urged to allow bars owners to operate their establishments at 50% capacity for in-house seating.
The latest call comes from several owners in the Chaguanas West constituency through a letter sent to the PM by their MP.
In the letter, MP Dinesh Rambally stated that the owners have always been compliant with COVID-19 protocols and intend to maintain this.
He said they are also willing to speak with the TTPS, take personal measures to shut down their bars if crowd control is beyond them and to enforce mask wearing and sanitizing.
MP Rambally believes more flexibility is needed to help the bar owners recover from the financial hit of the past few months where in house services have been stopped.
