CEPEP has temporarily suspended field operations until further notice.
This decision, it adds, is in keeping with the Prime Minister’s call for citizens to stay home as T&T continues to battle the latest COVID-19 wave.
CEPEP manages approximately 10,000 workers comprising mainly of single-parent families, and so it has also taken the decision to compensate these workers during the temporary suspension.
Since March 2020, the Company has been partnering with the Defence Force, Health Ministry and the University of the West Indies to provide ground maintenance services for five COVID-19 step-down facilities.
• The Home of Football in Couva
• The Vision on Mission compound in Claxton Bay
• Both the St Augustine and Debe campuses of the University of the West Indies
• Valsayn Teachers’ Training College – UTT Campus
CEPEP says it recognizes the critical importance of this collective partnership and stands ready to mobilize and assist when required.
