Other Caribbean islands are preparing for Tropical Storm Karen.
As of 11am, Tropical Storm Warnings remain in place for Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and its dependencies and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Tropical Storm Watches have now been issued for the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands.
Although the centre of Karen has already passed just north of Tobago, the island continues to be affected by bad weather.
Karen is now expected to move away from the Windward Islands later today, and then across the eastern Caribbean Sea tonight and Monday.
Tropical Storm conditions however may continue in T&T and the Southern Windwards at this time, with the possibility of street or flash flooding.
On Tuesday, it will approach Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 65 km/h, with little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
