Repairs at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant were completed last evening and the facility is back in operation.
However WASA is reminding affected persons in North, Central and South that it may take up to 48 hours for the service to normalize to some areas.
Operations at the plant resumed around 9 o’clock last night and according to the Authority, the associated transmission and distribution systems are being gradually re-pressurized, which is normal operating procedures following a shutdown of this nature.
They are also undertaking system flushing exercises in various areas in order to minimize any discoloured supply.
Those who do receive discoloured supply are being advised to allow their water to flow until it clears.
