CARICOM calls for an end to roaming charges in the region

CARICOM has called for an end to mobile roaming charges throughout the region.

Ministers in charge of ICT have agreed to collectively approach the Caribbean’s telecommunications providers to make this happen.

The Ministers agreed that no roaming charges would provide social and economic benefits to the people and to the region.

Grenada’s Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell says this will give a real boost to regional integration and had the potential to drive CARICOM growth and development.
