CAF offers T&T US$200,000 in flood relief

    The Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) has offered US$200,000 in humanitarian support following the recent floods.

    This is according to the Finance Ministry which says the offer came from the Bank’s President Sergio Diaz-Granados Guida on November 29th, 2022.

    CAF has also indicated its readiness to offer financing for rehabilitation or reconstruction of damaged infrastructure.

    The Finance Ministry notes that this is the second such assistance from the Bank which also donated US$200,000 for flood relief in October 2018.

    CAF also donated US$400,000 to T&T in April 2020 to assist in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
