The Buccoo Reef fast ferry has been handed over to T&T, and preparations are now being made to bring it to our shores.
According to a release from NIDCO, the handover took place at 7:30 yesterday evening (local time) at INCAT’s shipyard in Hobart, Tazmania.
It adds that its journey to T&T will begin this month, with updates to be provided throughout.
The Buccoo Reef is a 100 meter high-speed catamaran, capable of holding 995 passengers (including crew) and 250 vehicles.
It can travel at a speed of up to 37 knots, and was custom designed and built for T&T.
