Barataria man in court for alleged fraud


    33 year old Keron Jeremiah of Barataria has appeared in court charged with four counts of fraud, which occurred on January 25th.

    It includes two counts of uttering a forged valuable security, and two counts of obtaining money by false pretense.

    It is alleged he deposited two cheques in the sums of $9,130.50 and $8,140, at the San Juan and Trincity Branches of RBC respectively.

    The accused subsequently withdrew the funds from his account.

    Jeremiah was granted $50,000 bail and the matter was adjourned to Monday 8th April, 2019.
