Bandit caught after fingerprints found at robbery scene


    One man was charged in connection with a robbery that occurred on October 12th in San Fernando as officers identified his fingerprints at the scene of the crime.

    The TTPS says Roger Green of Pleasantville was charged for one count of robbery with violence, one count of attempted rape, and one count assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

    It was reported that Greene allegedly entered a home on Richard Street, San Fernando, while the occupant was taking out her garbage.

    He forced her back into the house and beat her about the body.

    After restraining the resident, Greene proceeded to rob her, making off with $6,300 and a quantity of foreign currency.

    The officers of the Mon Repos CID recovered $6,200 from Greene, who appeared before the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court. The matter has been adjourned to October 30th, 2020.
