The Bahamas is bracing for more bad weather, even as it continues to pick up the pieces left by Hurricane Dorian.
According to the National Hurricane Centre, there is an area of disturbed weather over the central and southeastern Bahamas.
This disturbance is expected to bring heavy rainfall and gusty winds across portions of the Bahamas through Friday, especially in areas affected by Dorian.
It is also expected to become better organized, with conditions favorable for a tropical depression or a tropical storm to form within the next day or so.
The system is currently moving northwest through the northwestern Bahamas and toward the Florida Peninsula at 5 to 10 mph.
The NHC adds that if this development trend continues, potential tropical cyclone advisories will likely be initiated later today.
