Persons who test positive for COVID-19 in Tobago will be brought to Trinidad for treatment.

This was revealed today by Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, as he responded to questions regarding isolation facilities on the island.

Hotels in Tobago will be given money to help refurbish their facilities during this time of tourism downturn.

According to Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, hotels on the island are currently empty, due to COVID-19 restrictions that have prevented many from travelling.

As such, he says if hotels are able to upgrade now, they will be able to offer a better product when things return to normal.
