Opposition Senator Anil Roberts has issued an apology in the Upper House, in accordance with a Report of the Privileges Committee.

A complaint was filed earlier this year by then-leader of Government Business, the late Franklin Khan.

It was in response to a social media video in which Mr Roberts allegedly called the Senate President names and criticized her for asking him to leave a sitting.

The Report, adopted by the Senate on July 7th, recommended that an apology should be issued by way of a Personal Explanation, to the Senate President and the Senate as a whole.

    This was done today.
