All ACP vacancies filled for first time in decade as 120 officers promoted

All vacancies for Assistant Commissioner of Police have been filled for the first time in a decade, following a promotion ceremony today.

Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith presided over the event today which saw nine promotions to the rank of ACP.

In all, 120 officers were promoted to various ranks.

Speaking at the event, Mr Griffith called on them to continue striving for perfection.

He also spoke to the tendency for officers to take him to court whenever they are transferred on suspicion of questionable activities.

Mr Griffith warned the officers that this behaviour will cause the TTPS to stagnate, especially when it comes to discipline.
