AG recommendation on masks in cars still to be considered, favours “practicality”

Cabinet will decide on the law regarding the mandatory wearing of masks, specifically in vehicles.

Initially, the National Security Minister urged persons to wear masks in vehicles even if in the company of relatives.

However, speaking in Parliament afterwards, Attorney General Faris Al Rawi noted that he is in favour of another approach.

Mr Al Rawi was further pressed on the National Security Minister’s statement by UNC Senator Anil Roberts.

The Prime Minister expects the law to be to be in place by today.
