The Met Service has issued an adverse weather alert for Trinidad, until 2pm today.
It says showers, at times heavy, and thunderstorms are expected in a few areas with some improvement by this afternoon.
The Met Service warns of street or flash flooding in areas of heavy showers while gusty winds are likely in the vicinity of thunderstorms.
It is also warning of the possibility of landslides.
In light of that alert, the ODPM’s Head Captain Neville Wint reiterates some of the measures that citizens should take.
Chairman of the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation Dr Allen Sammy meanwhile reminds residents to take the necessary precautions.
