The MET Service’s Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert has been pushed back by a couple of hours.
It was initially to become active at 10am today, however the TTMS has revised that time to noon today.
The Alert is still carded to remain in effect until 2pm tomorrow.
The TTMS is forecasting occasional heavy showers and thunderstorms varying localities over Trinidad and Tobago.
This it adds, may lead to landslides/landslips mainly along hilly areas.
Street and/or flash flooding and gusts up to 65km/h are also likely near heavy downpours.
In light of this forecast, the ODPM is urging persons to take the necessary precautions to protect life and property.
