A total of 25 persons have been charged with murder since October 16th, 2022 with six of them coming in past 48 hours.
Acting Police Commissioner McDonald Jacob is now expecting a steady flow of solved murders.
He says the TTPS will continue to invest in training and development to build a cadre of technically competent detectives.
These officers, he notes, will use scientific approaches and technology to solve homicides.
As recent as November 17th this year, 40 Crime Scene Investigation officers participated in a Blood Pattern Analysis and forensic autopsies seminar.
This, Mr Jacob says, leaves them better equipped to gather evidence for more effective collaboration with the pathologist.
