The Acting Police Commissioner is assuring that there is an “all-out effort” to solve murders that occurred over the weekend.
In a media release, police say they are pursuing gang-related leads regarding a triple murder in Carapo and investigators are looking at community disputes following killings in Morvant and Blanchisseuse.
They are also probing the discovery of a burnt body in Claxton Bay and are working to find a motive behind the murder of a businessman in Sangre Grande.
Acting Police Commissioner Erla Christopher says the TTPS is not daunted by the spate of violence over the weekend.
She says they will continue to intensify the crackdown on gangs and apply pressure on persons who are intent on disrupting the lives of law-abiding citizens.
