Imam Yasin Abu Bakr has been laid to rest.
The 80-year-old died on Thursday night.
According to reports, the Janazaah (funeral service) was held yesterday afternoon at the Jamaat-al-Muslimeen Mosque on Mucurapo Road, St James.
He was then buried at the Munroe Road Muslim Cemetery.
Mr Bakr led the Jamaat Al Muslimeen’s 1990 attempted coup in which 24 persons died.
In a sworn affidavit last year, he apologised for the pain caused by the attempt.
