The fishing communities of Carli Bay and Orange Valley are in mourning.
There is also a sense of anxiety, as they continue to spearhead the search for three missing fishermen.
Hope is dwindling though, as yet another day out on the sea today yielded no results.
Jason Baptiste, Justin Kissoon and Alex Sooknanan are still unaccounted for after being thrown into the Gulf of Paria by men who stole their boats on Monday.
The bodies of four of their colleagues have already been found – Brandon Kissoon, Anand Rampersad, Shiva Ramdeo and Leslie De Boulet.
Funerals for three were held today.
Relatives though say the efforts will continue for as long as they can bear.
And they are welcoming help from the public where possible.
Persons willing to assist or contribute can contact Christopher Crissy John, President of the Orange Valley Pirogue Association, who is helping to manage search efforts, at 365-7760.
