6PM: COVID-19 death toll moves to 37


    The deaths of two men have taken the number of COVID-19 fatalities in T&T to 37.

    The Health Ministry’s 6PM update states that both victims also had comorbidities which is defined as “more than one disease or condition is present in the same person at the same time.”

    Also on the rise is the number of active cases which now stands at 1,506 with the addition of 23 positive cases from samples taken between August 28th and September 6th 2020.

    According to the Ministry, 22 are in Trinidad and one in Tobago.

    734 have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic out of the total number of 2,277 positive cases recorded in the country.
