A 21-year-old man has been granted $500 station bail after being charged with disorderly behaviour.
Around 12:40pm yesterday, a party of officers were on mobile patrol at Independence Square South in Port of Spain, when a WPC observed a man acting in a suspicious manner.
According to the TTPS, the officer attempted to speak with the man when he began shouting “Alyuh police rel outta timing” and “I taking lock up”.
He began waving his hands violently and behaving in an irate manner, prompting the officers to detain and take him the Port-of-Spain City Police Headquarters where he was charged.
He is expected to appear virtually in the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court on May 3rd.
