4 held during traffic exercise for guns, ammo


    Four persons, including a baker and a farmer, have been arrested for firearm and ammunition possession.

    They were held on Wednesday night during a traffic exercise along the Carlson Field Main Road in Chase Village, Chaguanas.

    During the exercise, 13 field interview forms were also completed and eight electronic fixed penalty notices were issued.

    Six of these tickets were for no indicator lights and two for no certificate of insurance.

    The exercise was conducted by officers of the Road Policing Task Force and coordinated by Senior Superintendent Mystar, Superintendent Rampersad, ASP Guelmo, Inspector Harrylal, Sergeant Charles, Corporal Maharaj and Corporal Ramdeen.
