The 2021 Dry Season is officially underway.
The declaration comes today from the MET Service, which reminds that while this year’s season could see more rainfall than normal, a lot of dryness is still likely.
It warns that localized rainfall events are likely to push the monthly rainfall totals to above-average.
The TTMS says the odds are also tilted towards a warmer than average season, despite some chilly nights in January and February.
April and May in particular, are likely to produce one or two short duration hot spells.
