Two more police officers have contracted COVID-19.
According to the TTPS, one officer from the St. Clair Police Station tested positive yesterday, while one from the Besson Street Police Station tested positive today.
A total of eight officers have now been infected over the past two weeks.
The St Clair Police Station was reportedly sanitized last night, while the Besson Street Station was done today.
One civilian staff member has also tested positive.
The TTPS says in addition to the sanitization of police stations, several persons have also been quarantined during contact tracing.
Police Commissioner Gary Griffith is now urging those working for the service to exercise every possible precaution while on the job.
