Two workers at the NIB’s Service Centre in Tobago have been advised to self-isolate at home, in the wake of news that a courier who recently visited the office had tested positive for COVID-19.
A thorough and intensified sanitizing exercise was also carried out at the Centre today.
In a release, the NIB says the courier in question delivered packages to its Tobago Service Centre last week Wednesday.
His interaction was said to be short and limited, as well as confined to the two staff members in question.
The courier was reportedly informed of his positive status on Saturday.
The NIB says the courier would have undergone all sanitizing protocols before being allowed entry into the building, including temperature testing.
It adds that, in keeping with protocol, the Centre has been subject to increased daily sanitizing protocols.
Arrangements have since been put in place for non-cash payments to be facilitated via drop-box onsite at the NIB Tobago Service Centre.
Persons wishing to directly contact the NIB, can do so at email@example.com or log on to the website at www.nibtt.net for more information.
Persons are also asked to use the NIB’s online payment facility wherever possible.
