Two persons have died of COVID-19, taking the local death toll to 95.
According to the Health Ministry’s daily update, the persons are an elderly male and a female, both with pre-existing medical conditions.
47 more persons have also tested positive for the virus and will now be processed for admission at the discretion of the County Medical Officers of Health.
Additionally, 7 persons have been discharged from public health facilities, and there are 36 recovered community cases.
As of this afternoon, there are 1,601 active cases of COVID-19.
Of these, 98 persons are hospitalized, including seven in the Intensive Care Unit and seven in the High Dependency Unit.
Since the start of the pandemic, T&T has confirmed 5,241.
