The Ministry of Health says 161 patients have received diagnostic imaging services such as Ultrasounds, Mammograms, MRIs at the Couva Hospital in the past month.
Though the facility was officially opened on July 22nd, health services were being provided there since June 28th.
The Ministry is advising persons that patients must be referred through the public health system to access these services in Couva.
The only walk-in service available there at the moment is the CDAP Pharmacy and Patient Medication Counseling Services.
The Ministry says no appointment is necessary to access these pharmacy services and members of the public may call 226-4263 for further information.
It assures that expanded services will be offered at the Couva Hospital in upcoming phases.
