$157m to boost health sector for COVID-19 fight


    $157 million dollars will be allocated to the Health Sector to boost its capacity for the fight against COVID-19.

    Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh today listed the main avenues of expenditure.

    The money will be divided up amongst the various Regional Health Authorities, with the largest chunk being allocated to the North Central RHA.

    Mr Deyalsingh says some of the money for the SWRHA will also go towards preparing the Point Fortin Hospital, in case additional capacity is needed to fight the virus.
