COVID-19 deaths have increased to 57 while 70 additional cases have been recorded in T&T.
Confirmation of the latest fatality comes from the Health Ministry’s morning update which says the victim is a male with comorbidities.
Meanwhile, 12 patients have been discharged, taking recoveries to 810 and active cases to 2,426.
2,133 patients are under home isolation, 96 are hospitalized including 11 in ICU and nine in HDU and the 70 new cases, from samples taken between September 4th and 15th, will be admitted.
The remaining 127 patients are in step-down/transition facilities – six at UWI Debe, 50 at UWI Canada Hall and 71 at UWI Freedom Hall.
