10am: Eight more COVID-19 cases

    Eight more COVID-19 cases are being reported this morning by the Ministry of Health.

    Active cases are now up to 265, as of 10am.

    Of these, two patients are very ill and are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit, and one in the High Dependency Unit.

    The latest cases reported today include six contacts of recently diagnosed COVID patients, and two cases are pending investigation.

    51 of the active cases are being housed at step down facilities in Sangre Grande and Balandra, waiting on negative tests in order go home.

    In all, since the start of the pandemic, T&T has recorded 412 positive cases, of which 139 recovered and there were eight deaths.
