The Ministry of Health has recorded 43 new COVID-19 cases as at 10am today.
In its morning update, it states that one person tested positive at a private lab, 23 cases are pending investigation and 19 are contacts of recently positive COVID-19 patients.
Total active cases in the country are now 222.
This morning’s spike follows a statement made by the Chief Medical Officer at yesterday’s Health Briefing where said he expects to see an increase in cases in the coming days.
Since the start of the pandemic, T&T has recorded 369 cases of COVID-19, of which 139 have been discharged and there were eight deaths.
