10:30AM – 2 COVID-19 deaths reported


    Two additional COVID-19 related deaths are being reported this morning.

    The Health Ministry says both persons are elderly males with co-morbidities.

    This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 17.

    Additionally, 36 more persons have tested positive for the virus.

    A cluster of nine (9) non-nationals is included in this group, while the remaining 27 persons are nationals.

    34 persons have also been discharged.

    The number of active cases now stands at 867.

    99 of these persons are hospitalized (5 in ICU and 10 in HDU), while 675 have been home quarantined under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health offices.

    47 patients are en-route/ being admitted to hospital, 36 new patients will be processed for admission and 10 persons remain in step down facilities.
