One man was sentenced to ten years’ hard labour while another denied bail, after appearing before a Sangre Grande Magistrate jointly charged with robbery and possession of ammunition.

20-year-old Marcus Richardson and 20-year-old Charis Pompey were arrested last week in connection with several reports of robbery on November 11th.

Today, Richardson was sentenced to ten years’ hard labour after pleading guilty.

Pompey however pleaded not guilty and was remanded into custody until the matter is called again on December 14th.
