10 held in Marabella for drinking alcohol in public space

10 persons were yesterday caught in Marabella gathering in a public place while drinking alcohol.

They have all been charged for breaching the Public Health Regulations and will appear before a Justice of the Peace today.

The TTPS says on Friday afternoon, officers of the Marabella Police Station and Southern Division Task Force observed the group and made the arrests.

The persons are aged 30 to 46 years, and hail from the Marabella, San Fernando and Claxton Bay areas.

The charges they face were for both gathering in excess of five persons in public, as well as consuming alcohol in a public place.
