Tech Today: Atari gives sneek-peek of new console

Video games have come a long way from consoles like the Atari 2600 of the 70s and the 2800 of the 80s.

So much so that the American company itself has released a modern console called the Ataribox.

The company says the console will include both classic and new games and it will have four USB ports, one HDMI port and one SD port.

The Atari 2600, for those who might know it, had an iconic wood finish.

Staying true to one of their most popular consoles, Atari will release two editions of the Ataribox – a wood edition and a black-and-red edition.

The company states that the reason for releasing limited detail is that they’re trying to “get this right”.

More details will be released on a step-by-step basis.

The Atari 2600 had over 500 games, including classics like Mario Brothers and Pac-Man.
