TATT consultation next week to discuss Android boxes

Next week, the Telecommunications Authority will begin consultation to discuss the possible regulation of Android boxes.

It comes after dwindling sales for subscription television providers.

According reports, sales fell from $183 million in the last quarter of 2016, to $164 million during the same period in 2017.

And the providers believe the increasing number of Android boxes is partly responsible for this decline.

103FM News understands the first session is tentatively set for June 25th.
