Despite losing their opening two Regional 4-Day matches, the T&T Red Force have stayed off the bottom of the table.
That position is currently occupied by the Jamaica Scorpions who fell to the Windwards Volcanoes by 5 wickets yesterday.
Kirk Edwards led the Volcanoes’ chase making a patient 76 off 192 balls as they got closer to victory.
This was already his 2nd half century of this year’s tournament.
He wouldn’t be there when they reached their target at 289/5 but Kavem Hodge (59*) and Alick Athanaze (23*) took the Windwards to their 2nd win from 3 games.
Edwards shot to international fame when he made 110 on his Test debut against India in June 2011.
It was a crucial century that helped the Windies to a draw.
With that, he became the 14th West Indian batsman to score a century on his Test debut, joining the likes of Adrian Barath who pulled off the feat two years before.
