The West Indies won the toss today and sent South Africa in to bat first, amid reports of rainfall that were imminent.

However, the rains came too early, as Sheldon Cottrell had already taken two wickets – Hashim Amla (6) and Aiden Markram (5).

South Africa after 7.3 overs were 29/2 with Quinton de Kock (17 not out) and captain Faf du Plessis at the crease.

Up to 7:30am T&T time there were no updates on the resumption as the covers were still on due to the heavy drizzle.
