Joe Root century puts England in charge vs Windies

    Hopes of a series whitewash are fading for the Windies, after England amassed a 448 run lead at stumps on Day 3 of the 3rd Test in St Lucia.

    The man of the day was skipper Joe Root who amassed 111* at the close of play in Gros Islet.

    Joe Denly got his maiden Test 50 – he scored a resilient 69 before being caught behind off the bowling of Shannon Gabriel.

    Jos Buttler also contributed 56 before being bowled by Kemar Roach.

    England will resume tomorrow on 325/4.
