Rough seas for Carnival, Ash Wednesday

Those looking to relax at the beach for carnival are again being urged to be mindful of continuing rough sea conditions.

According to the TT Met Service, wave heights are up to 3.5 metres along the exposed northern and eastern coastlines, and occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.

These conditions are forecast to remain unchanged throughout the Carnival period.

Some improvement is expected from late evening on Ash Wednesday into Thursday, with wave heights forecast to become less than three metres.

Small craft operators, sea bathers and all those with marine interests are asked to exercise caution in all sea related activities.
