Prison Service condemns criticism after shooting of prisons officer at bar

The Prison Service is condemning the public criticism it’s facing following the death of prisons officer.

Richard Sandy was shot and killed while liming at a bar in Gasparillo earlier this month.

According to Commissioner of Prisons William Alexander, his death has been followed by heavy criticism and accusations of corruption.

He says, while he will not deny claims of rouge officers the condemnation by the public is insensitive and disrespectful.

He assures that rouge officers are a minority in the service.

Commissioner Alexander says regardless of efforts to portray the service positively, the negatives will always be emphasized by the public.
