PM apologizes and calls for urgency in getting new passenger vessel

All stakeholders involved in getting a new passenger vessel should operate with a level of urgency.

PM Dr Keith Rowley believes this will bring relief to citizens who rely on the fast ferry service between Trinidad and Tobago.

However, he is asking the efforts be redoubled without compromising principles and within all contractual safeguards.

Dr Rowley says this will ensure an acceptable service is restored in the shortest possible time.

He assures that Government is trying its best to remedy the situation.

The search for a new boat comes as the contract for the Ocean Flower 2 vessel was cancelled when the supplier failed to deliver it on time.
