Woodland man on 4th drunk driving charge sent to St Ann’s Hospital

    A 27 year old man has been sent to the St Ann’s Hospital for evaluation after he stood in court on his 4th charge of drunk driving.

    The Trinidad Express reported that Nafee Hanif of Woodland was permanently disqualified from driving in February, for his 3rd offence.

    He was reportedly stopped by police in Debe and tried to evade the officers however he was recognized by Constable Shiva Roopchand as being disqualified from holding or obtaining a driver’s permit.

    Breathalyzer tests were done and Hanif was found to have a reading of 72 micrograms, way over the 35 microgram legal alcohol limit.
