Two men were wounded and subsequently arrested in connection with a foiled robbery in Port of Spain this afternoon.
Around 1pm, the men entered Sin Kiu Trading along George Street, and announced a robbery.
The 53 year old proprietor drew his licensed firearm and wounded the men who made their escape.
Officers immediately responded and a subsequent search of the George Street Plannings and nearby bushy areas resulted in the arrest of the two men, and an additional suspect who is believed to have helped them.
Police also recovered a gun at the scene of the robbery, believed to have been dropped by one of the suspects.
