The MV Galleons Passage ferry is going to do its trial run between Trinidad and Tobago next week.
That’s according to Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan, who says the crew for the vessel arrived earlier this week.
Also this week public advertisements were made by the Government for the purchase of a new fast ferry.
The Galleons Passage, as Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley reminded Tobagonians last night, is not a fast ferry.

Currently, only the T&T Spirit vessel is servicing the inter-island route as a dedicated passenger carrier, while the Cabo Star transports goods vehicles.
