UPDATE (July 11th 2019 – 4:50pm) – The Works Ministry has POSTPONED the repair works on the Eastbound Lane of the Beetham Highway.
As such, there will be no traffic disruption this weekend as previously announced.
Notice of this came via a media release from the Ministry this afternoon.
Traffic will be disrupted on the eastbound lane of the Beetham Highway from 7pm tomorrow (July 12th) until 7pm on Sunday, 14th July as repairs are carried out.
During this time, the westbound lane between the lighthouse and Abattoir Road will become a dual carriageway with two lanes going west and one going east.
The Works Ministry says persons can use Lady Young Road and the Market Overpass as alternative routes.
Motorists passing through the work site are urged to proceed with caution, observe all directional signs and barriers, comply with instructions from on-site police, drive at a reduced speed and be aware of heavy equipment.
