The detection rate reportedly stands at 33%, which is the fourth highest among the nine policing divisions.
The Inspector also revealed that robberies and larceny occurred mostly on weekends – particularly Fridays and Saturdays, while larceny related offences generally occurred between midday and 4pm, and 8pm and midnight.
And with the busy Christmas shopping season ahead, he is urging persons to be extra vigilant, as they expect an increase in criminal activities including shopping as we are in the Christmas season.
